The following article will review the CCTV camera or Hidden Camera installation tips. As you already know, now almost all offices, shops and buildings have hidden cameras or the Close Circuit Television (CCTV). But Have installation can secure your building?…or maybe your hidden camera got hacked by the thief, so please considered this following features

A. Camera power

1. Use a power supply regulator in tolerance 5% of the required voltage.

2. Ensure at least 40% electricity backup to prevent overheating and voltage loss.

3. Using the appropriate thick electrical cable

4. Beware of losing tension because it is too far from the source voltage

5. Beware of the polarity when connecting the power supply to the camera

6. Make sure the cooling or ventilation for the power supply

7. Avoid operation of the CCTV with the same equipment in a circuit such as power lifts, compressors, generators or large motors.

B. Cable

1. Avoid parallel track with the video cables AC power.

2. RG59U Co-Ax distance should not exceed 200m for color and 300 m for B / W

3. Avoid sharp objects around the cable

4. Avoid using BNC cable barrel

5. Avoid the Tightening cable ties

6. Make sure to use properly-co-ax wire stripping and crimping tool

7. Make sure that the BNC connector was crimped correctly

8. Use BNC Rubber Boots after crimping to protect the crimped area and wrap around

9. Mark the label or the camera and the signal data cable

10. Cable lines should be watertight

11. Install Anti-lightning on a lightning-prone area

C. Camera Installation

1. Test all equipment before installation. Because the device can be replaced before the fix is installed.

2. Make sure the mounting brackets completely closed to prevent condensation inside the camera.

3. Use EIA value RS232/422/485 or CAT-5 cable to the dome or PTZ speed communications.

4. Make sure enough space for camera, lens and camera connector when choosing a house.

5. Avoid direct sunlight on the equipment because it can affect the temperature of the equipment.

6. Camera position to avoid the reach of the hands of Vandals or mischievous.

7. Use a sturdy holder to avoid vibrations due to wind or flying animals were seized.

8. Holder may be placed in the camera, or on a home camera

9. Avoid installing the camera is too high above the subject’s hair so that it only just got the picture

10. Make sure the camera holder safe to avoid vibration in the camera image

11. Before connecting power, make sure the supply is already regulated 12VDC.

D. VCR

1. Consider using a VCR Analogue cost grounds

2. Familiarize to  Check your recorder, to preserve the durability and quality recordings.

3. Use only high quality brand name tapes

4. Replace tapes after being used 12 times.

4. Ensure the receiving line.

5. Beware of lightning. Transmitters are often placed on high masts / roof, which makes them vulnerable to lightning.

6. Bad weather such as rain and heavy fog can affect the transmission.

F. Digital video recorder

1. It is advisable to connect your camera to your DVR and uninterruptable PSU (UPS)

2. Make sure 1Vp-p video input level of the camera (not lower or higher)

3. Turn off the camera AGC

4. Ensure that the DVR is in the shadows when there are occasional robberies

5. Avoid as operating systems Win98/ME, Win2k is the most stable for PC-based DVR

6. For PC-based DVR HDD defragmentation routine use is recommended if the DVR using other applications. (Not necessary if the PC is dedicated to the DVR.)

7. Make sure that enough RAM so that the tape is not broken.

8. Recordings must be different with drive operating systems and recording software.
